This trekking  and tour program is specially designed to cater trek & pilgrimage combined together in which the trekker can enjoy the taste of the adventure tourism along with the ancient monastery along the trail with its historic value. Thame village is at the end of Khumbu Valley and iconic value of Thame is its terrain the people which are untouched by the effects of modern civilization. Overall this place is internationally recognized as the home of world famous Mountaineers such as renowned Tenzing Norgay Sherpa: the first ever Mount Everest summiteers in the mountaineering history, Ang Rita Sherpa: recognized as snow leopard and Apa Sherpa: a World Recorder Everest nineteen times Everest Summiteers and many more.

DETAILED ITINERARY FOR SHERPA HERITAGE TREKKING

Day 01: ARRIVE KATHMANDU

It is a panoramic thrill flying into Kathmandu on a clear day. The views of snow-capped mountain peaks sprawling down below you are almost ecstatic, beginning a whole chain of memorable experiences that stay with you for a long, long time. A representative and driver from our office – Aroma Nepal Treks, will meet you at the airport and escort you to your hotel. The representative will help you check into your designated hotel. At the hotel you will be briefed about your daily activities.

Day 02: FLY TO LUKLA [2880m] / TREK TO PHAKDING

Take packed breakfast from the hotel transfers to domestic airport fly to Lukla. After landing at Lukla air strip we trek to Chomoa. The trail descends steeply to the Kusum Kangru Khola and cross the local-style suspension bridge. Crossing the bridge, the trail climbs then contours around a ridge to Ghats. The trail climbs again to Phakding where you find a huge collection of lodges. You can climb to the gompa on the hill above Phakding for a view of the high peaks. OR option for further trek, From Phakding the trail continues up the Dudh Kosi valley. The trial crosses a small stream. There is an excellent view of Thamserku. Trail climbs steeply over a rocky ridge then traverse high above the river to Benkar (2700 m). From Benkar the trail crosses the Dudh Koshi on a suspension bridge. The trail follows along the river and climb to Chomoa where you will be staying overnight at local lodge.

Day 03: TREK from PHAKDING / CHOMOA / MONJO [2850m] / NAMCHE BAZAR [3450m]

We continue north following the Dudh Kosi river and on to Jorsale where we enter the Mt. Sagarmatha (Everest) National Park. From here it is a short walk to the confluence of two rivers, the Imja Drangpa (Imja Khola) and the Nangpo Tsangpo (Bhote Kosi) followed by a steep climb (around 2 hrs.) to Namche Bazaar, the main village in the Khumbu. At about halfway up the hill, a gap in the trees allows us to spy Everest for the first time. If the weather is clear the top of the South-West Face will be just visible behind the long Lhotse-Nuptse ridge. A plume can often be seen stretching away from the very summit. Namche is a prosperous Sherpa village and an important trading centre with a weekly Saturday market; fresh foodstuffs are brought up from lower villages to be bought by the Sherpas. The wares on display include meat, grains and vegetables, tennis shoes and trinkets as well as hand woven aprons and Tibetan boots. The Sherpas play host to traders from the foothills, as well as Tibetans from over the border. Thamserku (6648m), Kwangde Ri (6187m) and Khumbila (5707m) surround the natural bowl that Namche sits in (5 hours walking).

Day 04: AT NAMCHE

Namche is tucked away between two ridges amidst the giant peaks of the Khumbu and has an abundance of lodges, tea shops and souvenir shops as well as a magnificent outlook that seems to meet western standards, even at this remote mountain outpost. The amazing Sherpa folks down here have learnt a lot from the big expeditions that have passed this way. It is an ideal place to spend a rest day, acclimatizing to the new altitude before heading off towards Tengboche. Options for acclimatization walks include a visit to Khunde hospital which was set-up by Sir Edmund Hillary, or a one hour walk up to the Everest view hotel above Namche for the sunset view of Ama Dablam, Nuptse, Lhotse and Everest. There are also good views from the national park center and museum just above the town. We have a nice time at Namche and then settle in for the night.

Day 05: TREK TO THAME [3820M]

From Namche the route turns west and the trail is almost level as we head up the Bhote Kosi Valley, once a popular trading route into Tibet. Along the way we pass many prayer flags and mani stones, all indicative of the Tibetan Buddhist culture of this area. After descending to the Bhote Kosi the trail climbs steeply to Thame. From here there are good views of the peaks of Teng Kangpoche and Kwangde. To the north is the Nangpa La, the pass leading to Tibet. Thame Gompa is situated above the village overlooking the valley and is the site for the spring celebrations of the Mani Rimdu festival.

Day 06: TREK TO KHUMJUNG [3786M]

This morning we climb to the village of Khumjung at the base of beautiful Khumbila, a sacred mountain that no one is allowed to climb. It is a picturesque village which also has its own gompa at the top end of town. In the afternoon we will visit the Hillary school and then the neighboring village of Khunde for a visit to the Hillary Trust hospital there. From our lodge we have excellent views of Thamserku, Kantega and Ama Dablam.

Day 07: Trek to MANJO / PHAKDING

Now time to return back. This day you will trek most of the part downhill to Manjo / Phakding.

Day 08: TREK TO LUKLA
Our final day’s trekking follows the Dudh Kosi back down to Lukla. This last evening in the mountains is the ideal opportunity for a farewell party with the Sherpa guides and porters, where we can sample some chang (local beer – a favorite drink on the mountains), do a jig to some Sherpa dancing and reflect back on a memorable trekking experience.

Day 09: FLY TO KATHMANDU – POKHARA

From Lukla early morning fly to Kathymandu and from same dometic terminal fly to Pokhara (25min.). Arrival in Pokhara and transfer to Hotel. After lunch visit Devi’s fall / Cave / Tibetan village and you also can enjoy with boat trip on Fewa Lake. Dinner and overnight stay at Hotel.
Pokhara is the capital city for tourism in Nepal lies at 830 min. from sea level and 25 km Ariel distance from Himalayan ranges of Annapurna. There is no city in all over the world where you will be seating below 1000m. but can be viewed three mountains over than 8000 m. (Dhaulagiri 8167m., Annapurna –I 8091m. & Manaslu 8163m.). If Kathmandu is the cultural hub city than, Pokhara is the center of Adventures.

Day 10: POKHARA Sightseeing with Boat ride on Fewa Lake

Sightseeing in Pokhara including Devi’s Fall, Gupteshowar Cave, Tibetan Village, Boat ride on Fewa Lake & you will get free time at Lakeside area.

Day 11: FLY BACK TO KATHMANDU
