DHAMPUS (THAPA) PEAK (6012M)

Dhampus peak also known as Thapa Peak, tower in the midst of the glorious Himalayan trails, situated in the Dhaulagiri region the northern side of the wildest valley of Nepal (hidden valley) and along with Kaligandaki River flow its bottom. This peak climbing journey offers an adventure and scenic escapade to this beautiful region. Apart from natural beauty, you will get to experience different cultures and traditions during the journey which is simply wonderful. Dhampus Peak is perfect for beginners who are wanting to get hands-on experience for their fist ever mountain climbing. No technical skills are required for summiting this peak, if you have any experience of trekking in snow will be an added skill. Although no skills are needed, you need to be physically and mentally fit to overcome the challenges during peak climbing.

Trip Itinerary:

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu & Transfer to Hotel.

Day 02: Kathmandu Valley sightseeing including Pashupatinath, Buddhanath, Syambhunath, Kathmandu Durbar Square.

Day 03:  Fly to Pokhara and transfer to hotel. Evening free time at Lakeside.

Day 04: Drive to Marpha (Mustang) 2670 meters.

Day 05: Trek to Alubari (3900 meters). Camping

Day 06: Trek to Yak Kharka(4100 meters) for 1 hours & acclimatization day. Camping

Day 07: Trek to Base Camp (4900 meters). Camping

Day 08: Trek to Dhampus High Camp 5400 meters . Camping

Day 09: Climbing Day,  to Dhampus (Thapa) Peak summit(6012meters) & back to Yak Kharka.

Day 10: Trek down to Marpha & drive to Kagbeni village.

Day 11: Drive to Muktinath Temple via Jharkot village and overnight return to Tatopani (Hot spring)

Day 12: Drive to Pokhara. Evening 30 min foot massage at Lakeside.

Day 13: Pokhara Sightseeing including Devi’s Fall, Gupteshowar Cave, Tibetan Village, Bindabasini temple & Boat ride on Fewa Lake.

Day 14: Fly to Kathmandu, free day.

Day 15: Fly back to home or next destination.
