Widespread Lifting of Government Lock-down with Some Exceptions: On July 21 the Government of Nepal announced the decision to end the nationwide lock-down as of 23:59 hours July 21, 2020. Although restaurants (for take away) and hotels are now permitted to open but need to follow Standard Operational Protocol (SOP) as per Nepal Tourism board & Government of Nepal, some establishments, such as cinemas, salons, party-hall and spas are still closed. Trekking and mountaineering will be permitted from October 17, 2020, according to the announcement. Long distant public transport will be allowed to operate beginning September 17.
Domestic & International Flight: The government announced that international (Now International Flight for Nepali citizen and diplomatic person only with negative results of PCR test obtained within 72 hours prior to arrival in Kathmandu are required for entry) flight service would be permitted to resume beginning September 01, 2020. Domestic flight service would be permitted to resume beginning September 17, 2020.
Nepal Immigration Services: The Nepal Department of Immigration (DoI) in Kathmandu, Pokhara resumed services from Monday, June 15, 2020. All visa holders requiring any visa-related services should consult Do I for information about visa matters. ( Nepal Immigration )
