Bhutan

Bhutan tour is a good choice to know different culture and people not as far. Bhutan is also land locked county between China in the north and India in the East, West & South. Bhutan has an approximate area of 47,000 sq.km, and is a mountainous country that stretches from the foot hill in the south to the towering peaks of the inner Himalayas in the north with varying climatic conditions ranging from the hot and humid tropical type sub-temperate and alpine. Bhutan has a population of roughly 750,000 comprised of three main groups, the Ngalongs in the north western part, Sharchops in the eastern part and Lhotshampas in the south. They are collectively called the Drukpas, who speak Dzongkha the national language of Bhutan. Bhutan is the only country in the world to adopt Mahayana or Tantrik Buddhism as its official religion, Bhutan is purported to be the last bastion of the Vajrayana Strain of Mahayana Buddhism that lays fundamental emphasis in births and rebirths.

4 Night 5 Day Western Bhutan Tour

Day 1: Paro Airport – Thimphu
The flight into Bhutan is one of a kind giving you a taste of the adventurous Bhutanese people taking you as close as u can ever get to the Himalayan mountain ranges. On arrival, you will be received by our guide from Wangchuk Tours and Treks and will head to Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan. Evening tea in a local restaurant and free time to walk around Thimphu town. Dinner at hotel.
Overnight at Thimphu | Altitude: 2400m
Day 2: Thimphu Sightseeing
Visit National Library, Arts and crafts school, National Institute of Traditional Medicine (outside only), National Memorial Chorten that is both a memorial to the Late King (“the father of modern Bhutan”) and a monument to world peace, Tashichhodzong, Folk Heritage, National Textile Museums and Handicrafts Emporium. Dinner at hotel.
Overnight at Thimphu | Altitude: 2400m
Day 3: Thimphu – Punakha – Thimphu
After Breakfast drive to Punakha, the drive takes about 3 hrs on route crossing the Dochula pass. If we are lucky with the weather, we can see the entire Bhutanese Himalayas; east of Chomolhari to Gangkhar Puensum. On arrival in Punakha visit the magnificent Punakha Dzong Fortress, the winter seat of the Head Abbot built at the confluence of the two rivers pho chu n mochu. Drive to Wangdi town. Explore Wangdi town and visit Wangdi Dzong (fortress). Evening drive back to Thimphu.
Overnight at Thimphu | Altitude: 2400m
Day 4: Paro sightseeing
After breakfast drive to Paro and hike to the famous Tiger’s Nest temple. Lunch in the cafeteria on the way back. After lunch hike back till the road and drive back to the hotel. On the way back to the hotel visit the national museum and the fortress of Paro. Evening back to hotel.
Overnight in Paro | Altitude: 2200m
Day 5 : Departure
Early morning flight from the Paro International Airport to onward destination.

Bhutan Tour 6 days 

Day 1:- Take overnight bus / Car to Siliguri via Kakarvitta from Kathmandu. Overnight hotel in Silguri. (Or you can take early morning flight to Bhadrapur and drive to Siliguri (4 hrs via Kakarvitta.) and further onwards to Phuntsoling (150kms from Silguri). Overnight stay in Phuntsoling. From Delhi, you will fly to Bagdora, near Silguri.
Day 2:- Arrival in Silguri. Take bus to Phuntsoling. Overnight in Phuntsoling.
Day 3:- After immigration formalities, you will drive to Thimpu (179kms, 9-10 hrs.).
Day 4:- Sightseeing in Thimpu. Drive to Paro (52kms). Overnight hotel in Paro.
Day 5:- Sightseeing tours in Paro. Overnight hotel.
Day 6:- Fly to Kathmandu or Delhi or Bangkok.

Bhutan Tour 10 Days:

Day 1:- Arrival at Paro Airport. Transfer to hotel.
Day 2:- Sightseeing tours in Paro Valley. Overnight hotel in Paro.
Day 3:- Visit Ringpung Dzong & Ta Dzong in the morning. Picnic lunch at Satsam Chorten and
Excursion to the Taksang Monastery.
Day 4:- Early in the morning, drive to Mendegang with breakfast at Dochula, from where a great
view of the Bhutanese Himalayans can be seen on clear days. A short visit to the Wangdi
& Punakha Valley.
Day 5:- Drive to Jakar early in the morning, enroute views the Chendebje Chorten.
Day 6:- Bhumthang valley sightseeing.
Day 7:- Ura Valley excursion, drive back to Jakar.
Day 8:- Drive to Thimpu.
Day 9:- Thimpu Valley Sightseeing. Afternoon cultural program and drive to Paro.
Day 10:- Transfer to airport and departure to Kathmandu or Delhi or Bangkok.

Aroma- Bhutan Tour (8 Night / 9 Days)

Day 01: Fly from Kathmandu to PARO – THIMPHU:
Arrival Paro, receiving by tour representative & transfer to Thimphu. Later sightseeing of the valley; evening at leisure in town. Dinner & overnight Hotel
Day 02: THIMPHU SIGHTSEEING:
Full day sightseeing of Thimphu including visit to Changangkha Monastery, Zilukha Nunnery with Dup-Thop Monastery, Memorial Chorten, Takin (national animal) Preserve Center, Sangyegang view point, National Library and Tashichhodzong. Dinner & overnight Hotel
Day 03: THIMPHU-PUNAKHA:
Sightseeing to continue – visit Buddha Point with an option to hike through the nature trail (appx.1 hr.); visit Bhutanese Hand Made Paper factory, Folk Heritage Museum, Textiles Museum and Painting School; after lunch transfer to Punakha, evening visit Punakha town. Dinner & overnight Hotel
Day 04: PUNAKHA SIGHTSEEING –BUMTHANG:
Following early breakfast, drive to take a short hike to Khamsum Yulley Monastery and later visit Punakha Dzong and stroll around on foot in the valley and transfer to Bumthang; lunch stop at a highway restaurant. Enroute view of Rukubji & Chendabji village; dinner & overnight Hotel
DAY 05: BUMTHANG SIGHTSEEING:
Full day sightseeing including Jambay Lhakhang, Kurjee Monastery, Tamsing & Kenchosum Monasteries, Jakar Dzong and a visit to Swiss farm; later visit a weaving center in Chummy valley. Dinner & overnight Hotel
DAY 06: BUMTHANG-GANGTEY:
After breakfast transfer to Gangtey/Phobjikha valley which is the winter home of the rare endangered species bird ‘Black Neck Crane’. Enroute visit Trongsa Dzong and the Monarchy Museum at Trongsa. Continue drive and visit Gangtey Monastery. Dinner & overnight Hotel/Guest House
Day 07: GANGTEY SIGHTSEEING-PARO:
Early breakfast hike around the wide valley on foot along the nature trail. After lunch, transfer to Paro. Enroute, Tea/coffee stop at Dochula cafeteria. Dinner and overnight Hotel
Day 08: PARO SIGHTSEEING:
Following early breakfast drive to visit the ruins of Drukgyel Dzong and visit the 7th century Kyichu Monastery; later transfer to Ramathangkha for excursion to Takshang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest). Lunch at Takshang cafeteria and afternoon visit the National Museum and Rimpong Dzong; dinner & overnight Hotel
Day 09: DEPARTURE:
Early breakfast and transfer to Paro Int’l Airport for departure to Kathmandu or Delhi.
